Dental Extraction Process

At Relax Dental, we provide expert tooth extractions in a calm and caring environment, whether you’re dealing with severe pain, impacted teeth, or advanced periodontal disease. Our dental extraction process begins with a comprehensive evaluation, including your medical history and digital imaging to assess the tooth socket, jaw bone, and surrounding structures.

During the extraction procedure, we use local anesthesia or sedation to ensure your comfort while protecting the adjacent teeth and gum tissue. Once the tooth is pulled, a blood clot naturally forms in the extraction site—this is crucial for proper healing and to prevent dry socket, a condition that can cause intense discomfort.

Healing Process

After your extracted tooth is removed, you’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions including when to eat soft foods, how to use an ice pack, and how to monitor for any signs of complications. Whether you need a simple extraction or a more complex surgical procedure, our team will guide you through every step of the healing process.

Trust Relax Dental for safe, gentle, and effective tooth removal services.

Tooth Extractions Q&A

Some mild pain and discomfort is normal during tooth extractions, but you will be numbed with local anesthetic beforehand to eliminate any severe pain during your dental treatment.

While most patients will feel better in the first 2-3 days, initial healing can take about a week, and full healing of the socket can take several weeks after having a tooth pulled.

In the first 24-48 hours some swelling and discomfort is normal and nothing to be concerned about. Ice packs and pain relievers are recommended to help ease any of these symptoms.

Yes! At Relax Dental we offer local anesthesia to numb the area so you will feel minimal pain and discomfort during your dental extraction. You will remain conscious throughout and will be able to drive home safely.
